SHIPPING
During the canalization era, fertilizers were imported on FOB (“Free on Board”) basis and shipping was arranged by Transchart. Post de-canalisation of fertilizers in 1992–93, Indian farmers were not in a position to organize shipping for transportation of fertilizers and raw materials.
Tradex solely shipped fertilizers in bulk from Aqaba, Jordan as per the requirements of individual customers.
Today, Tradex is chartering 3.5 million tons of cargo per annum in vessels of various capacities ranging from 7,000 tons to 65,000 tons. The group has representatives at all loading and discharging ports to protect the interests of the principals, vessel owners and receivers.
