Our Foundation, “Shri Ratanlal Foundation” is dedicated to working in the field of empowering the Girl Child through education & skill development as our core area of focus. Under the guidance of our Founder and Chairman Mr. Ratanlal, we decided to work in partnership with other like-minded NGO’s in 2014, leveraging each other’s strengths and making the program robust in every manner. Our four collaborators in the project are Shri Ratanlal Foundation, Udayan Care, Etasha Society and Sri Aurobindo Ashram, New Delhi.
We run two programs:
The first is the “Shri Ratanlal Udayan Fellowship” program for girls from weak socio-economic backgrounds. The program rests on 4 pillars; financial help, workshops on building confidence & self-esteem, mentoring and inculcating the value of giving back. Over 250 students have benefitted from this program and are currently pursuing careers/education of their choice.
The second is the “Employability Linked Skill Development” course for 4 months. This program is for girls who are unable to get admission in Delhi colleges due to high cut-offs, and the financial challenges in their families who cannot afford private colleges. We also have a very strong life skill element in both these courses. In the last 3 years over 200 girls have benefitted and are successfully working in reputed organizations in different sectors such as hospitality, accounting, retail and many others.
